Hornets' Holidays
Started in 2021, the Hornets' Holidays program was the answer to a community need.
When the community's original Christmas program, VC Cares for Kids, was dissolved in 2020. It left Valley Center without an assistance program to help provide families with gifts during the holiday season.
Through business partnerships, generous community members and the hard work of many volunteers, the Hornets' Holidays program is able to match children facing financial hardships with those willing to purchase Christmas presents in a virtual Angel Tree fashion.

Let us know how much you are willing to spend per kiddo. No amount is too small!
If you are wanting a specific age or gender, leave us a note.
We will match you with a child (or children)
We will email you the "want/need" information for them along with other information you might find useful.
You'll have a variety of information about your child, just in time to shop ALL the black Friday sales!
Drop your gifts off during the designated times at VCIS.
The best part is you don't even have to wrap them!

Do you need assistance this Christmas?
Children who meet the following criteria could eligible for assistance through this program.
Must be aged Birth -18 years old
Currently enrolled in USD 262
Or
Have a sibling in the house currently enrolled
Or
Have a parent/guardian employed with USD 262
If selected, families can expect to receive 3 wants and 3 needs for each child in the program.
